Virtual Reality House Buyer

The BBC reports that Virtual Reality (VR) assisted house buying has had an unexpected boost thanks to the coronavirus lockdown restrictions facing many buyers.

According to Zoopla, Virtual Tours account for just 8% of the current viewings but interest in Virtual Reality (VR) assisted house buying viewings tripled in the first month of the lockdown.  Rightmove have also noticed an increased interest in the technology since lockdown restrictions began.

VR technology is relatively mature and will only become easier to use in the future.  The days of physical Estate Agent viewings could be numbered and Agents will be scanning sellers homes instead.

As a forward thinking firm, AVRillo welcomes the introduction of technologies such as VR assisted house buying.  Removing barriers to clients listing their property for sale and increasing the number of potential buyers taking a viewing is good for everyone.

AVRillo have also adopted new technologies which make the conveyancing process cheaper, easier, faster, safer, more transparent and virtually free of risk.
