House price growth

The Halifax have indicated that house prices nationwide are on the rise a by 9% per year averagely, but the rate of growth is going to slow down.

An example of this shows in the three months to the end of November, where prices rose by only 1.4%.

The average price of a typical home in the UK is now around £204,552 compared to a year ago where the price was £188,058.

Over the year, the annual rate of house price inflation has ranged from 7.8% to 9.7% – it’s currently 9.0%.
